Veselý Š. Bipolar Transurethral enucleation of the prostate. Obstruction caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia can be treated by several surgical techniques. Especially for larger prostates, alternatives to open surgery and conventional transurethral resection are sought, as these methods are associated with significant morbidity and often require blood transfusions. In recent years, there has been development in enucleation techniques using lasers or bipolar energy. This text summarizes the latest findings and experiences with bipolar transurethral enucleation of the prostate (B-TUEP) and compares this method with other surgical procedures.

Keywords: Enucleation, prostate, BPH, TURP, HoLEP.
