Material and methods: In 32 patients with II and III degree stress incontinence (16 after trans-urethral prostatectomy, 11 after radical prostatectomy, 4 after transvesical prostatectomy, 1 after spinal injury) we made a bulbourethral sling operation by proleň tape. Special tape of proleň is transperineally placed under the bulbar urether by means of steel hooked needle. The needle entry is laterally from bulbar urether and m. bulbospongiosus, it passes...

Objective: The aim of the work is to evaluate the first experience with the use of two -phase CT-angiography (CTA) of kidney at the surgical treatment of parenchymatic renal tumours. Material and methods: In 15 patients two-phase CTA kidney vessels was consequently indicated from October 2003 to July 2004, by means of computer tomography at Somaton Sensation 16 equipment, produced by Siemens. The findings at CTA were compared to the pre-operational finding (9x at laparoscopic nephrectomy, 3x at transperitoneal nephrectomy, 2x at translumbal tumour resection, 1x at retroperitoneoscopic nephrectomy). Results: In 4 patients...

Along with the oncological safety, the aim of radical prostatectomy is to preserve the continence and erectile function. The study evaluates the functional results of 100 consecutive radical prostatektomies underwent by the patients with clinically located prostate cancer during 15 months in the years 2001 - 2002. Postoperational continence was observed in three-months intervals and as significant there was evaluated the incontinence requiring the use of hygienic pads and the erectile function in relation to the ability of imission and coitus. Continence not requiring hygienic pads returned at 96 (96 %) of patients in 9 months. Four patients use 1...

M. Urban, R. Zachoval, M. Záleský, P. Palascak

Ces Urol 2005, 9(1):26-30 | DOI: 10.48095/cccu2005005

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the treatment of long and multiple ureteral strictures by their ileal substitution without an antireflux anastomosis and to cast light on some controversies concerning this method. Twenty patients with average age 58 years (32 to 76 years) have undergone a partial or complete ureteral substitution by ileum with a simple anastomosis to the urinary bladder. The procedure was bilateral in six cases. In 18 cases the substitutions were primary treatment of the stricture. The follow-up period lasted from 10 to 78 (mean 41) months. In five patients the preoperative renal insufficiency improved after the surgery,...

According to literary data it is mostly the pulmonar, prostate and gastrointestinal tract cancers which metastasize to the scrotal organs. The patients with pulmonar, prostate or GIT cancer anamnesis are at increased risk of metastasis development in scrotum, therefore it is necessary to consider the possibility of this event and in case of...

One hundred and fifty five consecutive patients (mean age 63.4 years, age range 29-84 years) with negative upper urinary tract and kidney imaging (ultrasound and excretory urography) have been assessed by trans-abdominal B-mode (2.7-5 MHz) sonography before further evaluation. All patients underwent oupatient cystoscopy. All positive and suspicious findings have been assessed histologically Positive histpathology has been found in 105 (68.2 %) patients. Compared to standard method (cystoscopy),...
