Fatal consequences of a paraneoplastic syndrome in a patient with prostatic carcinoma

In their case report authors mention paraneoplastic symptoms, which are often forgotten and underestimated in the clinical practice. These symptoms can be the first sign of a malign disease and can therefore help with its soon detection, but on the other hand they can be associated with the danger of severe complications influencing dramatically the further course of disease.
