The continuance of the collecting system dilatation after plastic repairing of the ureteropelvic junction in children progressed hydronefrosis may have two causes, the first one is a great progress of the process, that does not allow to repair the dilatation, the socond one is to be an unsuccessful operation /1, 5/). Another treatment depends on differentiating between these two causes. Authors used ultrasonography with the Furosemide test. Compairing sonogram before and after giving Furosemide, they evaluated whether the continuance of collecting system dilatation can be caused by a urodynamic obstruction. They concluded that the ultrasonography with Furosemide is a simple orientation noninvasive examenation method, which can be repeated several times without any risks for the examined child. According to experience of the authors more pricise is the method with oral Furosemide application than the intravenous one. It is an orientation method that in case of suspicion on bad evacuation, can be complemented by the dynamic scintigraphy with Furosemide.
