Lichen sclerosus is progressive skin disease with predominant localisation on external genitalia and with possible serious complications. Incidence is higher than it has been published in the past and therapy can be very complicated in some cases. The text is highly focused on urological consequences of this diagnosis. The aim of the authors is not to provide complex information about this disease across all medical subspecialties. Special interest was dedicated to urological complications, their treatment and prevention.
