Krejčí V, Belej K, Chmelík F, Heráček J, Záleský M. Robotically assisted retroperitoneoscopic renal tumor resection - case report. Introduction: The retroperitoneoscopic approach is advantageous from the point of view of its minimal invasiveness, on the other hand, its disadvantage is the limited space, which can make the actual surgical preparation and treatment of the resection area technically more difficult. Material and methods: In the video presentation, we show the case of a 57-year-old man with abdominal obesity (120 kg, BMI 40), who was diagnosed with a 6 cm tumor on the dorsal side of the convexity of the upper pole of the right kidney based...

Bartůňková J, Střížová Z, Smrž D. Current overview of the role of immunotherapy in onco-urology. Immunotherapy was shown to be a crucial therapeutic modality in the treatment of cancer. The efficacy of immunotherapy in late stage clinical trials has allowed immunotherapy to become a standard of care for first-line therapy in onco-urology. The major therapeutic impact is currently attributed to the effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). ICIs are monoclonal antibodies that target the inhibitory receptors of T cells, thus allowing a significant potentiation of anti-cancer T cell cytotoxicity. Since the approach is rather non-specific, several...

Kuncová J. Intravesical, radiofrequency-induced chemohyperthermia in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. Intravesical, radiofrequency-induced chemohyperthermia Synergo® RITE is one of the so-called device-assisted instillation methods developed to increase the effectiveness of intravesical chemotherapy in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder tumors. Treatment with this method is currently approved as standard in precisely defined indications in the Czech Republic. The mechanisms of the effect of thermotherapy and radiofrequency treatment on tumor tissues are discussed in this review article. The text provides basic information...

Stejskal J, Adamcová V, Zachoval R. Evaluation of pain of transperineal prostate biopsy under local anaesthesia. Aim: The goal of the analysis is to evaluate patient reported pain during transperineal prostate biopsy (TPBxP) under local anaesthesia (LA). Methods: We evaluated 55 patients who had a TPBxP under LA comprising 26 first and 29 repeated biopsies. On average 15 cores were obtained in each patient (12-18). The local anaesthesia was administered using 50cc of mesocaine applied to the perineal skin and prostate apex. No intravenous or oral analgesics were used. The patients reported the painfulness of both local anaesthesia and prostate biopsy...

Ürge T, Dolejšová O, Kouba J, Hora M. Buccal mucosal graft substitution urethroplasty of posterior penile and bulbar urethra. Introduction: We started using buccal mucosal graft in November 2019 to treat recurrent strictures of the urethra outside the anastomosis area in patients after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) and subsequently also performed it for strictures from other causes. Group: The group includes 14 men aged 66.7 ± 6.8 years who had recurrent stricture of the posterior penile to bulbar Jordan D urethra 18-73 mm (diameter 25 mm) according to urethrography. The cause of the stricture was instrumentation in the urethra in 11/14...

Case report of incidentally diagnose Zinner syndrome in a young man
Adam Hudec
Ces Urol 2022, 26(3):202-205 | DOI: 10.48095/cccu2022022
Hudec A. Case report of incidentally diagnose Zinner syndrome in a young man. Zinner syndrome is a rare disease which consists of renal agenesis, ipsilateral obstruction of ejaculatoraly ducts and formation of seminal vesicle cyst. Diagnosis is made by magnetic resonance and CT scan. Treatment of this dissease are miniinvasive surgical aproaches. Standard of care is transuretral resection of the ejaculatory duct. Observation of renal insuficience is nessesary. Very important is the possibility of infertility problems in young men and this must be treated in time.
