The objective of this article is to present the literature with respect to the urogenital tuberculosis and complications, to demonstrate the broad and typical, but also atypical symptoms, course of the disease, the investigation methods including new modern tests and the treatment. It is important to draw attention to the fact that it is necessary to think of genitourinary tuberculosis during a differential diagnosis from the very beginning, especially always when we detect simultaneously sterile pyuria and acidic urine pH. Frequent paralel recurrent nonspecific urinary tract infections do not exclude the diagnosis of the genitourinary tuberculosis. For good prognosis of the disease and complete recovery it is necessary to perform early diagnosis and longterm controlled treatment.
