When it is necessary to perform adrenalectomy in radical nephrectomy and when it is not?

Adrenalectomy is indivisible part of radical nephrectomy since 1963. The question: Is it necessary to perforn adrenalectomy in radical neprectomy? is dicussed more intensively during past 10 years.Data of patients with renal adenocarcinoma treated in The Department of Urology, University Hospital Olomouc and Urological Ward, Hospital Kroměříž were evaluated retrospectively. Complete documentation was available in 348 patients. 4 cases of automutilation of external genitals

4 cases of automutilation of external genitals are described in this case report. It is rare injury and more than one half cases are psychopathic patients. In 3 cases injury was performed in the period of psychical decompensation. Replantation was not performed in any case because amputated part was degradated during transport or was left on site. Patients do not regret their act even in the remission of their psychiatric disease. The fourth case is a mild mutilation where small spherical bodies were implanted subcutaneously to the penis and patient visited medical doctor because of pain later on.

Pubovaginal sling - complication and their solution

The authors report on complications associated with surgical correction of stress incontinence (SI) in women using the pubovaginal sling. During 40 months they used this method to operate 110 patients. They achieved improvement of SI symptoms in 108 patients (98%) and the satisfaction with the post-operation result in 98 patients (89%). Acute epidydimitis is one of the frequent diseases of lower urinary tract. Testalgia and unilateral painful scrotal oedema are common symptoms. Sometimes fever, micturition difficulties and urethral discharge are presented in the time of presentation. This disease occurs in males ranged from puberty to graet age.Group of 83 patiens examined in our urological centre in 2000 - 2001 is presented. Papillary renal carcinoma (PRC) is in comparison with conventional renal carcinoma (CRC) from many aspects different variety of renal carcinoma (RC). Incidental prostate adenocarcinoma in patients after radical cystectomy for urothelial carcinoma

Prostate cancer was the second most commonly reported malignant tumour after the pulmonary tumours in 1997 in Czech Republic; incidence of prostate cancer was 52.9/100 000 males in 1997. Bladder carcinoma was the sixth most common reported malignant disease in males with incidence 27/100 000 males in 1997.164 cystoprostatectomies for diagnosis urinary bladder carcinoma were performed on the Department of Urology, University Hospital, hradec Králové in 1989 - 2000.
