Ces Urol 2011, 15(4):251-255 | DOI: 10.48095/cccu2011043

We report a case of rare malignancy - urachal carcinoma. This disease is associated with poor prognosis, which should be considered in case of tumors with atypical appearance located in the bladder dome or the midline of the anterior bladder wall. Standard treatment is surgery by means of partial or radical cystectomy, always with en bloc removal of urachus and umbilicus. Role of adjuvant treatment is not clearly validated. In our case we demonstrate, that even early radical surgical treatment, does not necessarily mean patients cure.
