The treatment of pain in the generalized prostate cancer is a problem by all urological departments. Sufferings from bone metastasis are relatively frequent and patient's quality of life is essentially decreased. Application of Metastrone is one of the pain supressing possibilities in patients with the osteoplastic metastases.
Authors are characterizing this medicament and are analysing a group of 17 patients (there were 18 applications in that group). They found out an efficiency in 72%, effect begins during 7-30 days and influence time is 2 - 24 months. It isn't possible to make steady anticipation of treatment influence, but it is needed to consider this way of treatment because of relatively high effect.
