Treatment of bulbar stricture by resective urethroplasty
R. Fiala, F. Zá»ura
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):16-19
Short stricture of bulbar urethra, recidiving after endoscopic treatment, is an indication to resective urethroplasty. Adequate liberation of urethra is required. One from opportunities to interrupt of spongiofibrotic process is a simple end to end anastomosis of healthy urethral ends. Resective urethroplasty has less complications than other types of urethroplasty because of not using transferred tissue in this operation. Authors evaluate advantages of this operation on own group of patients.
Panurethral strictures of distal urethra
R. Fiala, F. Zá»ura
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):20-22
Authors present summary of own experiences with one of current possibilities of treatment of panurethral strictures - method of transfer of cutaneous flap. They use Jordan's modiffication of Quartey's operation, which applies a long island of penile skin to ensure flap nutrition. In seven operated patients authors detect no serious complication. Quartey's operation can't be combine with another operative technique in any case. Assessing of these results have to be careful, because these patients were evaluated 6 months after operation. Very good results and expressive better quality of life of our patients shows hopeful possibilities of this operative...
Using of tunica vaginalis testis for urethral reconstruction
R. Fiala, F. Zá»ura, V. ©tudent
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):23-25
Authors introduce case report of 23 years man with stricture distal urethra after several non-successfull endoscopic performances. Stricture was treated by combined simple reconstruction using pendulous flap of tunica vaginalis testis and second flap from preputium. Tunica vaginalis testis is convenient tissue for utilization in reconstructive urethral surgery.

R. Fiala, F. Zá»ura
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):26-28
Authors refer own experiences with solution of post-traumatic distract urethral deffects by bulboprostatic anastomosis. This disease invalidize patients and is completely resistent to conservative or endoscopic treatment. Against this fact open operation by simple anastomosis resolve patient's problems with high success.

M. Hora, O. Hes
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):29-32
In this paper is given the overview of current histopathological dividing of renal tumours in adult patients with look on the needs of clinical practice. New classification of renal tumours by UICC and AICC (1997) is given to context with previous knowledge and is replenished by clinical notes relating to diagnosis and treatment. Before the operation is possible to identify only the angiomyolipoma by graphic examinations. If the size of angiomyolipoma is lower than 4 cm, it's enough follow up. In larger angiomy-olipomas and other tumours is needed surgical treatment and a histological typing helps us to establish a prognosis. Oncocytoma is completely...
Laparoscopic injury of the ureter
J. Schraml, J. Knespl
Ces Urol 1998, 2(5):33-35
Authors describe a group of 4 patients which have an injury of urogenital organs in relation with laparoscopic operation. In two cases during the laparoscopic adnexecto-my occured injury of an ureter and in the others during the laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) occured also damage of ureter and in one case occured losing injury of urinary bladder. It is relatively new type of iartrogenic damages occured in relation with development of new operating methods and techniques.

The treatment of pain in the generalized prostate cancer is a problem by all urological departments. Sufferings from bone metastasis are relatively frequent and patient's quality of life is essentially decreased. Application of Metastrone is one of the pain supressing possibilities in patients with the osteoplastic metastases.Authors are characterizing this medicament and are analysing a group of 17 patients (there were 18 applications in that group). They found out an efficiency in 72%, effect begins during 7-30 days and influence time is 2 - 24 months. It isn't possible to make steady anticipation of treatment influence, but it is needed to consider...
