Excursion to medical research information - problems of access to electronic resources

The aim of the article is to discuss the issue of the access to electronic resources (ER). As an example of ER journal, book and portal were selected. Most space is attended to the journal where the situation is the most complicated. Classic printed books have changed during the years and they have growing competition from electronic variation now. Portals are especially preferred like the place where a large amount of information is concentrated.

Aim:Some lower categories of penile cancer are unnecessarily treated with a mutilated partial amputation of the penis. We present a more suitable alternative - a glansectomy.Material and methods:From 8/2006 to 8/2010, 28 men with penile tumours were surgically treated at the University Hospital Plzeň, CZ. Seven underwent a partial amputation, two total amputation, 7 circumcision, three an excision of the lesion (including one partial glansectomy). Nine (32%) underwent glansectomy. These cases are retrospectively evaluated, but the data was collected prospectively.Results:The mean age was 69.0 ?8.1 years (59.0-80.9)....

Aim:Summarized our own experience and results of urological complications of pelvic fractures.Methods:In the period between January 1998 and December 2009 we treated 38 patients for severe urinary tract injury following pelvic trauma.Results:The mean age was 40 years (range 21-71). The urinary bladder rupture (UBR) was diagnosed in 21 patients. Two men had concomitant posterior urethral trauma.
